Some Quick Updates

Silent Fate has setup a page on Purevolume.com which has a previously unreleased track "Create" from our upcoming album The Autumn Machine.

Much to the pleasure of some Duran Duran fans, our version of the song "Come Undone" has mysteriously leaked out to the media where it was made available for download for a few days. That link has now been shut down (to our knowledge) but since there seemed to be a great deal of interest in the track we've decided to put it on our myspace page, (myspace.com/silentfate1)

We are planning some local shows really soon and are lookin forward to seeing everyone at the shows!

Headin West

Well, we booked our trip out to scenic Utah and it's gonna be really exciting. We have a phenomenal film crew shooting live footage of the show on Friday the 17th at Club Vegas in Salt Lake City. We'll also be heading out to the Bonneville Salt Flats (where they do the land speed records) to shoot footage for a couple of music videos featuring Marci from 93.3 KDKB in Phoenix, AZ (Ultra Hottie!!!). We can't tell ya which songs we're shooting right now, but stay tuned … it's gonna be awesome!!

In other news… what weighs 220 lbs stands about 5' tall and does nothing? No it's not an ex-girlfriend. It's a pile of boxes containing our pre-release CD's! Oh yeah!!! They're friggin insane!!!

Well, that's about it for now. Hope to see everyone in the NY area at our show next week in Oceanside, and all the Utahans at the show in August. Go to the "EVENTS" page... there's info about the upcoming shows and helpful links to directions to get ya to the show!

It's away...

The CD is on its way to being mass produced. Once that's done the distributor gets it and it will be available for purchase. We are workin on a list of places you will be able to get the CD (or request it if they dont have it) Best bet will probably be to order it online.

And now.... finally.... I can sleep.

The album is done... or is it?

We brought the disc in to get mastered but I fear there are still a few issues that need to be taken care of before we can send it off to the presses. This shouldn't effect the release date for the album, but it does prolong my stressedoutedness for yet another week. I'll post more soon.

Holy Crap!

We have finally finished tracking... Now we mix the stuff and listen then mix again, then listen, then mix again, then listen... and this goes on for a couple weeks... or less depending on if any of the band members push me over the limit, in which case we take 2 days off for the wake and 1 day for the funeral. Then its back to mixing. Once that’s done, we bring the music to a magical place in the city where a mystical person listens to our stuff and puts magical mystery mastering dust on everything to make it sound extra amazing. Once that’s done... well then, its off to the presses where they make tons and tons of CDs that hopefully all of you will purchase! ;)

In other news... that song that was giving us so much trouble was redone by Alessio. It is now worthy of its spot on the album. With any luck I will be getting regular sleep again within a month or so which is gonna be amazing!!

One last thing... If anyone is at all interested in helping us out with things, we'd like to get a street team started. We'll supply the materials... we just need some kind hearted folks to hand stuff out and get people to listen to our stuff, and its an easy way to get free stuff from us like stickers, posters, t-shirts, CDs, hearty hand shakes, hugs, kisses in naughty places (only for the ladies though) you get the idea. Just toss us an email if you're interested.

1 More Left

Ok, more like 1 and 1/8th. We finished tracking on the title track (if you like Permicide and Whisper you're really gonna dig this tune and another tune titled "Black") We finally finished re-doing the verses in the song "Ice" tonight, Alessio kicked some ass coming up with a really catchy verse.
This tune was up for a while on MySpace and our own music page, but has gone thru a major overhaul.

As it stands now everything is still set for the July release (might not be the 4th as expected, but it will def. be before the 25th of July).

In other news, Billy Mira was in again this time working on the song "Just Like Me" (another Kaffiene song translated by SF). Theres just a few parts to finish up on that tune and that 1/8th i was talkin about earlier... well, it turns out one of my original favorite songs has become the bane of my existence (at least when it comes to this album). I don't wanna cut it from the album, but at the same time I can't let it go out the way it's been sounding. Guess it's time to call the troops together and bang heads togeather till we bleed or the song gets done... Well... thats all for now... I need some rest, I've been in the studio for about 40 hours now in the last 3 days. My bed misses me.

What have we done???

Well, we finished tracking the vocals for the last song to be written for the album, and I really dont know what to say. This is probably the sickest thing I've ever heard, and I've heard some sick stuff in my day... I can't wait to get the reaction on this one, but unfortunately you'll have to wait for July to get yer hands on it. (BTW, its slated for track number 7 on the album as of now)

We would also like to thank everyone thats been pullin for us on MySpace and have helped us expand our fanbase.

Keep watchin for updates and new pics.

Tracking Notes

Ok, its been a really busy week in the studio for us. We tracked an acoustic song written by Alessio entitled "A Slow Decay".

in addition to completing that song, we also had Meegan Coleman come in and shore up the female parts on our cover of "Come Undone". We all like the direction she took the part as it helped separate our version from the original. Meegan is a phenomenal jazz singer, be sure to check her out at MeeganColeman.com. If you're into jazz standards, be sure to pick up her CD at CD Baby.

We're planning on finishing tracking this week, then to the mix phase then mastering. We're also going to be working on the art for the CD insert as well.

Special Announcement

We would like welcome the newest member of the band - Alessio (ex Among the Sick / Comatose).

His raw vocals bring a new dimension to the band dynamic and fills the final void in the bands lineup.

In addition, Anthony has been accepted into ASCAP as a writer and publisher. The songs on the new album will be released under his publishing moniker "Damn Fate Publishing"

Session w/ Billy Mira

We had a great recording session with Billy last night, which wound up being more drinking, eating, and joking than recording, but we got the job done. The tracks came out amazing and will not only appeal to all the old Kaffine fans but fans of Alice in Chains and STP.

This album is starting to have a life of its own, and is going to be hard to categorize or label under any one thing. There's gonna be a little bit of something for everyone on the album. Well, I gotta get back in there and finish up some tracks myself, thought I'd just drop a line.

The site is still being worked on, but enough people were bugging me to see whats going on so I opened it up. Figured I'd explain why certain things don't work and all. Music and Gallery will be up sometime this weekend (I hope). Gonna try and get some pics of our next recording session.

Guest Collaboration Announcement

We'd like to formally announce that Billy Mirra (of the Howard Stern Show, Jim Brewer Show, ex Kaffine) will be doing vocal tracks for the song "Whole" on the upcoming release "The Autumn Machine".

Fans of Kaffiene will undoubtedly remember this tune and appreciate the facelift its been given.

New Album

"OK, what's the deal, this album has been in the works for a couple years... what are you taking lessons from Axl Rose?"

Yeah, that's an acutal email I got. All I have to say, is that the album WAS done. One slight problem with it was that I absolutely HATED it! It sounded like something NIN would have done but crappier. So instead of releasing something I felt wasn't up to potential, I decided to re-work the entire thing. Turned out to be a great decision. The album is coming out incredibly. The bands sound has DRASTICALLY changed from hard rock/prog to something in the neighborhood of Black / Nu / Death metal. Theres still elements of the hard rock / prog thing but listening to the old stuff and listeneing to this... you probably wouldn't think it was the same band... Well, in a lot of ways it ISN'T the same band. New members, new instrumentation, new direction. I hope to have some demo tracks up on the site within the next couple weeks.
